Teen Camp

June 16-20, 2024

BlackHills Teen Camp is for youth going into 7th grade through graduated seniors. This 5-day camp engages teens in worship services, breakout sessions, sports activities, games, and more.

Meet Our 2024 Speaker

Matt Poole is the Superintendent of The Harvest Conference of the Free Methodist Church. He has served in pastoral and denominational leadership for 30 years. He was born and raised in Montgomery County, MD. He attended the University of Maryland (BS, Psychology) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity). In 2000 he was awarded a Beeson Scholarship to attend Asbury Theological Seminary and received his Doctorate in preaching and church leadership.

Matt brings with him gifts for ministry in the areas of preaching, teaching, coaching, wisdom, and leadership. His passion is for lives to be changed through following Jesus Christ. He has led large and medium size churches in various communities. He planted a church in 2002 and currently coaches church planters. He serves as adjunct faculty at Asbury University and has taught at other seminaries. He has previous experience on several boards in the areas of homelessness, church development, church planting, and leadership.

Matt spends his free time with his family; wife Heather and their two daughters. You may also find him on the roads or trails around the Pittsburgh area and surrounding mountains enjoying the great outdoors.










How Can I Participate?

Teens wishing to participate in Teen Camp must send in a completed Registration Form and Code of Conduct Form found below.

On Sunday, June 16, teens may arrive between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM for sign-in and room assignment. Camp opening is at 5:00 PM in the tabernacle.

NO TEEN WILL BE PERMITTED TO LEAVE CAMP EARLY UNLESS PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED. This is a CLOSED camp and visitors may only come during the evening service.

All campers must be picked-up at Noon on Thursday, June 20.










How Much Does It Cost?

Early Registration
(Postmarked by May 1)
$95 per camper
$90 for each additional immediate family member

Standard Registration
(Postmarked by June 1)
$110 per camper
$105 for each additional immediate family member

Late Registration
(Postmarked after June 1 or at camp)
$125 per camper
$120 for each additional immediate family member

How Can I Stay Connected Throughout the Year?

AfterShocks are events held by our BlackHills Youth Council every few months around North-Central West Virginia. They usually include a time of worship, a fun activity, a snack, and catching up with your friends from Teen Camp!
